Sheltered amidst a low-rise apartment, this courtyard can be comforting. We thought, it is best to not have a definitive programme for this space. The courtyard is lined with Terminalia mantaly which have small leaves that cast fine and soft shadow on the floor. The periphery is lined with a mix of tall and short tropical shrubs – creating an effect of an untamed landscape. The edge planting provides intimate pockets to converse and to ponder. The sculpture in the centre holds the space together. A directional paving guides the movement as well as the eye to the centre of this courtyard.
