The drawing represents the ‘idea of a dialogue’, which occurs in-between the people, space & people’s space of the historical art campus in Santiniketan, Kala Bhavana. This drawing attempts to illustrate the palimpsest of new intervening spaces along with the existing life of this foremost Indian art school which has been growing over a century.
The drawing is an outcome of an academic exercise undertaken as a part of an undergraduate architectural dissertation (Eclectic Architecture of Santiniketan) at Indubhai Parekh School of Architecture, Rajkot. The submitted drawing is an attempt to illustrate the proposed design intervention in the harmony of the present existing campus environment which has been growing for more than a century in the paradigm of Rabindranath Tagore’s Santiniketan.
