At the heart of the city of Rajkot, is this elongated shaped ring road. As a child, I always perceived it as a ring- a circle.
It is one of the most happening places of Rajkot. All festivals are celebrated here in full swing. A huge Rangoli competition is organised here every Diwali, and the biggest ‘Lok Mela’ also takes place here in Janmashtami. Every morning, the health conscious public come here for walking and running, for whom the entire two lane road is closed from the vehicles. It is a unique place which changes its flavours every day, every season and every festival. This drawing is based on an essay written by Mansi Keswani titled ‘Dear Rajkot’.
