The experiential map based on Fort Kochi and Mattancherry was an integral part of an undergraduate thesis exploring ‘Manifestations of experiential aspects in Architecture’. The hand-sketched map intends to capture the experience and vibe that is distinct to Fort Kochi and Mattancherry, attracting the attention of people all around the world for many centuries now. It explores the hodological space through a narrative trail encompassing maximum experience of the place and the components that contribute to forming a cognitive space for its users – the sights, smells and sounds with the history of the place told through its architecture. The global art scenes and the present local living scenarios also find a space through morphological discussions.
The drawing style is inspired from the sketches of Ar Rasem Badran.
