The ‘Gyaan Ashray’ by Chaal.Chaal.Agency, was the result of a design-build workshop that had the objective of supporting pedagogical and cultural processes -developed by a community near the Old City of Ahmedabad-, through a light-infrastructural intervention. The device was a deployable classroom that could be easily installed in one of the neighbourhood terraces, in order to accommodate the women and children that take part of this initiative by utilising similar spatial conditions to those found in the immediate context.
