In a compact 30ft x 50ft plot, this sectional isometric view is taken from the central axis of a residence, where houses are constructed extremely close to each other. Therefore, in the long term, the only reliable and unobstructed source of light and ventilation remains the sky. This sectional exploration attempts to quietly create sources of light from this central axis wherever the form allows. The mud brick vault in the centre sits on the load-bearing walls on either side. These walls hold the brick jalis from bedrooms, which draw out the heat from the spaces and allow it to escape from the highest volumes of the house.
