My favourite part of the architecture design process is dreaming of what the space could be. Thinking of what someone standing in the built space would feel or rather what I would want them to feel. Would they be enjoying some quiet time alone? Or having a fun conversation with family?
Rough sketches like this help document these thoughts quickly on paper. With time, these sketches turn into the precise computerised drawings which turn into handworks of masons, which turn into beautiful spaces.
