I started this drawing as an exercise to understand the scale of a 2-acre site to design a landscape for a house in a forest in Ahmedabad using different colour squares of 100 sqm each. With Marx’s drawings in the back of my mind, it slowly became a playful composition to integrate every clue from the ground to create this natural landscape for the family’s musings. The house, designed by Architecture Brio; will sit among 67 existing trees, and 14 new ones and the living room will maybe host this painting on one of the walls! A tribute to Roberto Burle Marx in Ahmedabad. Saúde!
