The folly home is a residential project in Gurgaon altering a semi-built early 2000s property to a modern home for a multi-generational family. To enhance familial ties, we realised the need to create spaces that fostered conversations and shared activities, resulting in a temporal double height steel structure crafted and placed over the existing driveway. All family rooms open to this inward-looking courtyard – flexible to meet evolving requirements and reinterpreting traditional typology in dense neighbourhoods. This section drawing highlights this exchange between the folly, and the rest of the living spaces along with the subtly differentiated uses of skylights.
