This was an image developed in the early stages of one of our projects named Earth Homes which is located within 30 minutes from Kolkata. The project itself is intended to be made as a rammed earth community designed to be a satellite address for people sneaking a greener habitat. The homes are constructed to be mindful of their carbon footprint through the use of local materials and sustainable construction methods. The animated GIF was created to explore the possibility of the roof form and was created through digital means using, Sketchup Vray and Adobe photoshop. As with all of our digital drawings, we try to use them as a design tool, each showing us a hint of the reality of the build through texture, shadow, and light.
