Window Section Detail of a Rural Konkan Home: Raunaq Bhagwat

The drawing, a simple sketch, denotes the window detail and the various merging materials. The locally available Laterite stone acts as the load-bearing structure material, while the stone debris is reused along with river sand and water, the proportions of which vary to achieve the particular plaster colour/texture. The Black Kuduppah stone lining of the window is separated from the stone using a Brass patti, thereby defining the threshold.
