The ‘Trichy Commons’ is a self-initiated project on vacant municipal land next to a dense and vulnerable neighborhood. The proposal includes a waste management & recovery center, a multi-purpose community center, and open space and playgrounds for the community. Miyawaki forests are realized along the adjacent canal banks to strengthen urban greenery as well as discourage people from solid waste dumping into the canal.
