A seamless space that inspires connection and culture
Located within a hotel in New Delhi, this space welcomes guests and the broader public into a dynamic, interactive environment complemented by views of a one-acre water body within the property. The design creates a convivial atmosphere that blends retail, dining, and art experiences in a well-cultured setting.
Functionally, this project extends beyond the hotel’s walls. Its objective is to activate the surrounding area, enticing people from across the city with bold, distinctive programming and architectural expression. While much of its energy comes from within, the project’s inside-out approach is about sparking curiosity and offering people a reason to return.
The journey begins as visitors step onto a “blue magic carpet” – a metaphorical ramp that gently guides them from the entrance to the mezzanine level. Rather than a conventional climb, this ascent feels seamless, almost as though floating upward, providing a sense of discovery as they approach the heart of the project. The space celebrates movement and height, drawing inspiration from the city’s dynamic energy.
At the heart of this space lies the Geode, a spherical structure that invites a playful, hands-on approach to hospitality. Here, one becomes a part of the experience, by the way of preparing coffee or ice cream before continuing through the space. This area encourages exploration, providing a moment of pause before visitors meander through the surrounding areas – whether to look at curated art displays or browse through a selection of books.
This space within the hotel redefines the relationship between design, hospitality, and community. By blending engaging experiences with architectural elements, it offers a destination that encourages exploration and also fosters connection. Through its innovative use of space, materials, and diverse programming, the project serves as a social hub for both guests and people of the city.
