Slate House- A Rhythm of Shadows: Funktion Design

Slate House reimagines the modern workplace as a space for collaboration and connection in the post-COVID era. Set near Bengaluru’s CMH Metro station and framed by mature rain trees, the building welcomes visitors with a lush double-height foyer. Staggered balconies and a rooftop dining area offer informal gathering spots. The façade features custom UHPC fins that create a rhythmic pattern, animating the building with dynamic plays of light and shadow while reducing heat gain. Inside, minimalist design, exposed ceilings, and post-tensioned slabs allow for open, column-free layouts, merging thoughtful design, practical efficiency, and contextual harmony to meet the demands of a transforming workplace.
