This sketch is a collective memory of our first project as Out of the Box, born in the quiet isolation of 2020. While the world slowed down, we lived on this beachside site for eight months, designing and executing in a continuous, hands-on rhythm. With no outside labor available, we collaborated deeply with local masons and carpenters, training each other to bridge traditional skill with our vision. Every casuarina pole and piece of salvaged demolition wood was sourced nearby. This drawing captures that “paradise” where we adapted daily to the land and its people, building a resort through experiments, and shared experience.
