‘Kodidoddi Collective’ is a proposal for a community center in the village of Kodidoddi, Andhra Pradesh. Drifting away from the usual mundane and generic framework that has been set, this proposal puts forward a playful yet resourceful center which in its raw essence becomes a place for the community.

The site at Kodidoddi has a few salient features such as temporary shops, a water tank, and a large Neem tree. The people of Kodidoddi prefer gathering around the Neem tree and the water tank. This gives us an opportunity to carve out those spaces in the proposed intervention to retain its authenticity. This is what we call “Tracing memory”.
