From V(ehicle)4 to P(eople)4 is an urban design proposal that is aimed at transforming the mobility landscape of Sector 15, Chandigarh. It redefined its streets by prioritising people over vehicles, challenging traditional car-centric planning: the project reorganised road space to promote active mobility, organise street vending, connect green spaces, and introduce low-cost tactical infrastructure. By redesigning parking strategies and employing distinct surface treatments, the plan sought to activate streetscapes and foster a pedestrian-friendly environment, envisioning an accessible and stage-wise construction of a future where streets are reclaimed by its citizens.
