Decentralized Community Spaces – Engaging every floor: Dirisala Sivani

This illustration was created for my thesis, which explores alternative approaches to housing density in the city of Hyderabad. By moving away from isolated single-block amenities, it demonstrates how decentralising amenities fosters connections across various scales of the project- from expansive ground-level common areas to smaller, intimate spaces at higher levels. The terraces, accessible via staircases, offer alternative circulation paths, reducing reliance on elevators. This drawing envisions a variety of activities taking place within these spaces, such as an outdoor gym, a yoga area, a communal dining space, and a spot for tutoring sessions.
