This drawing is part of a thesis, Architecture for Pause: Exploration of an Offline Space in an Online World. The project explores what space can mean for Gen Alpha young adults and others affected by the changing world, seen through the lens of overstimulation, shifting timelines, and the need to pause in the hyper-functional context of Bangalore. It further questions whether architecture can slow down movement, attention, and behaviour for Gen Z and Gen Alpha, who are growing up in algorithm-driven, high-pressure environments. The drawing reflects a spatial strategy of layered volumes, meandering paths, and intentional disorientation to interrupt autopilot movement.
