Antarang: Spandan Design Studio

Antarang is a Sanskrit origin word, meaning internal or inner; this embodies the idea of creating an environment that shall foster solitude, introspection and inner peace throughout the structure. Thus, spatial design of this outhouse is not only restricted to being just about serving as a retreat, but also curating the space to harmonise with nature and its introspective derivatives. Being true to its surrounding context and our envisioned design destination, meticulously favoured bricks, concrete and wooden finishes as a minimalist material palette, efficiently adhere to the rawness of the design doctrine. Limiting any other kind of ornamentation to the structure leads to serve the primary purpose of eliminating distractions and indirectly availing the user to reflect upon the inner self. Consequently, satisfying the expression of ‘Antarang’, the inner solace!
