This illustration is part of a retrofitted home in Himachal, created for the girls of Kranti, young women from Mumbai’s red-light areas stepping into independent lives with strength and care. Through the Home Matters India program by Thriving Home, the project explores how shared spaces support everyday living, rest, study, and gathering, while inviting in natural light and using natural materials to create an environment that feels calm, secure, and nurturing. 

Beyond function, this is a place of belonging, offering grounding and ease, where moments of joy can unfold, and a quiet revolution within them grows into confidence, leadership, and voice. 

The illustration is created to carry this spirit of gentleness, resilience, and hope, as the Kranti community came together to fundraise and bring this home into being.
