Nestled in the forested outskirts of Auroville, Temple Tree Resort is a boutique Retreat and Spa that embodies harmony between nature and architecture. Established in 2011 (and expanded considerably in 2023-25), it offers a serene sanctuary with a well crafted sensory space where indoors flow seamlessly into outdoor greenery and water bodies. The precast RCC hipped roof was the starting point of the plan. The distance between the rafters is determined by the size of the bison board panels on top of which insulation with thermocol and GI sheets ensures that the roof is climatically appropriate as well as rodent proof.
